I lead an extreme lifestyle as a commercial diver. I surf and am involved in every physical general outdoor activity.
A year ago I developed lower back pain which I ignored and it became worse. I tried physiotherapy treatment which never seemed to help and even a chiropractor, all to no avail. Eventually I started experiencing extreme pain in my left buttock and lower calf muscle in front. I went to an orthopaedic surgeon who sent me for an MRI scan which revealed a large disc herniation at the level of L4/5 and also a congenitally narrowed neural canal which caused nerve root compromise, according to the radiologist report.
At this point a respected spine surgeon was keen to operate as he felt that this was the only way to “fix” my condition. I decided that this was not an option and I was determined to remedy my condition by seeking an alternative method that was not so invasive or non reversible.
At this stage I could not walk properly and standing or lying down was absolute agony. I would toss and turn to try and relieve the pain which felt as if something was chewing away at me. Sitting seemed to be the only way to relieve it.
My wife has received Directed Pressure Point Technique care for many years for her condition with such success that I decided to try it and hopefully get relief from my pain. I started the treatment and immediately felt a difference. At last I was able to sleep and rest peacefully. I received repetitive sessions and the journey to recovery was long and at times hard, with all sorts of different aches and pains occurring around my back and calf. I was dedicated to the process, determined to “walk the walk” and believed that the treatment would cure me, and it really has.
I am back at work and as active as before. I have no pain whatsoever in all the places which hurt before and therefore nothing to remind me to keep in mind not to overdo things.
I commend and thank my practititioner for his efforts and no words can really express my gratitude.
Anybody who suffers from a similar condition can have faith in my story that with Directed Pressure Point Technique, the body can heal itself.
Thanking you
Rocky
